VAN-LANG is a two piece band based out of Houston, Texas.

Van-lang's lead vocalists, Mike and Dawn , combine their musicianship and state-of-the-art equipment to produce a phenomenal sound. Powerful and unique are just a few of the metaphors used when referring to this dynamic duo. Not content staying confined to just one gender of music, Mike and Dawn venture into the Pop, R&B, Blues, Jazz, Latin and Country fields. They find they are very much "at home" in all of them.

Mike was born in Alexandria, Louisiana and started playing music at the age of five when he received his first guitar for Christmas. He also plays drums, keyboards, bass, and harmonica, and has studied jazz guitar, and also teaches all levels of guitar. Mike has done the guitar work and arranged for many other artist. He has over the years mastered many instruments which make it possible for them to perform as a two piece band live.

Dawn was born in Nashville, Tennessee and started singing at the age of six in school and in church. She has sung in many jingles and sings back up for other artist. She has also studied voice, flute, and piano, and now teaches voice and piano, and beginner guitar.

Mike and Dawn have their own recording studio. They record jingles, other artists, and their background tracks for their gigs. Everything you hear when they perform live is being played or has been played by one of them. They also provide back-ground tracks for other groups around the U.S..

Locally they perform at The Post Oak Grill, Maggiano's "Little Italy", On The Plaza on the Kemah Boardwalk, Moody Gardens Hotel, and Woodlands Palmer Grill just to name a few. They also perform at many country clubs Northgate C. C., Kingwood C. C., River Oaks C. C., Woodlands C. C., and many others. They take great pride in doing benefits like Toys for Tots, Childrens Hospital, etc. Whether it's traveling to Vegas to play for a special event or performing locally in a club, Van-Lang's love is just being able to play music for people they love and who love to hear them perform.

At present they are working on an album which they hope to release in the coming year, and of course they're performing in clubs and for special events.
